- Change engine oil and filter
- Check condition and top up diff and gearbox oils
- Check steering and suspension joints for security and wear
- Check exhaust system for correct location and leaks
- Visually inspect all hoses and belts
- Pressure test cooling system for leaks
- Check coolant for glycol concentration and condition
- Remove all wheels, inspect clean and adjust brakes
- Check brake fluid for condition and top up if required
- Check and top up automatic transmission oil
- Check operation of wipers and washers
- Check all lights
- Check tread depth condition and pressure of tyres
- Clean and inspect air filter
- Clean throttle body or carburettor choke
- Replace standard spark plugs
- Test secondary firing system for high resistance
- Replace ignition points if fitted
- Check and adjust ignition timing
- Check exhaust emissions and adjust were applicable
